China eCapital Corporation, a boutique investment bank in China, has announced that Jie Dong has joined the firm as a managing director.
Ms Dong brings with her nine years of investment banking experience at Merrill Lynch. Prior to joining China eCapital, she was a vice president at Merrill Lynch & Co in New York's Department Capital Markets Group, where she was responsible for the origination, structuring and marketing of various structured finance products.
She played an instrumental role in the development of their Residential Re/USAA Hurricane Bond offering which received extensive media coverage from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, ABC News, Investment Dealers Digest and Barron's. Jie started her investment banking career with Merrill Lynch & Co in June 1991, after she graduated summa cum laude from Wellesley College (Wellesley, Massachusetts) with a BA degree in economics and biochemistry.
