Legend Group, a leading Chinese IT product and service provider, announced on October 28, 2002 that it had entered into an agreement to purchase China Weal, one of China's largest IT service providers for the telecom industry. Under the agreement, Legend, through a newly formed acquisition vehicle, will purchase a substantial part of China Weal's existing businesses and assets.

China eCapital, a leading private investment bank in China, advised Legend on this transaction.
